Procedure used by Ford to test engine performance in hot weather is same as CRC Vapor Lock Technique with modifications to adapt technique to fit local road conditions and to comply with company's concept of severity relative to operating conditions; hot fuel testing is done at Arizona Proving Ground in summer and early fall when weather conditions are most severe; mobile fuel laboratory and blending station supports programs scheduled in other areas to take advantage of highest temperatures.
