Arveprins Knud was built by Elsinore Shipbuilding and Engineering Co, and is in service of Danish State Railways connecting Danish islands of Zealand and Funen; 400 cars and 1500 passengers can be carried; length oa 130 m, breadth at car deck 17.21 m, draft loaded 4.600 m; third deck, between fixed steel upper and lower car decks, is arranged to move vertically about 1.3 m; 2 9-cyl Elsinore-B and W engines develop 11,200 bhp at 200 rpm.
