Describes early and latest form of Frahm anti-rolling tank and outlines reliable and simple theory of their action; shows that best efficiency is obtained when motion of liquid is controlled by simple valve system; experiments on navipendulum have enabled work to be verified and demonstrate possibility of much lighter and less bulky tanks than are at present in use. (Abstract.) Translated from paper read before Assn. Technique Maritime and Aeronautique. Supplementary article by same author translated in vol. 26, no. 9, Aug. 27, 1925, pp. 215-216, 5 figs.
