Supersonic flow over downstream-facing step on circumference of large, ducted, axisymmetric body was used to study flow reattachment; step heights were 0.25, 1.00, and 1.68 in., compared to body radius of 6 in.; two techniques were used to locate point of reattachment; surface pressure distributions throughout region of separation and reattachment were measured, and points of reattachment determined; comparison of shapes of pressure distributions for various step heights is made.
