Future market potential of executive jet aircraft based on extrapolation of market is discussed together with definition of overall requirements; mission performance of representative executive jet transport, comparing pure jet engine propulsion system with fan engines of various bypass ratio shows that bypass ratio of about 6 to 1 provides best overall solution over mission spectrum considered; features of Avco Lycoming's PLF Series fan engines are discussed in relation to requirements for business executive jet airplane.
