Outline of organization and scope of US Air Force Aero Propulsion Laboratory, directed toward advancement and timely availability of technology for gas turbine engines, including V/STOL engines, subsonic and supersonic engines, ramjets for supersonic applications, electric, high-temperature-plasma and radio-isotope propulsion components and systems, conventional and unconventional fuels and lubricants, nonpropulsive chemical, solar, and nuclear power components and systems; examples of progress made in various fields are shown.
