Report deals with quantitative analyses of fracture surfaces resulting from fatigue failures that occurred in wing structure and lift struts during wing fatigue tests on single engined light aircraft; information concerning rates of propagation and sequence of failure was derived for main spar of wing, subjected to relatively severe load spectrum commensurate with agricultural operations; description of analytical techniques, and results concerning fatigue crack propagation history of main spar structure.
