Reference is made to work by R.Barth, indexed in Engineering Index 1961 p 126; set of empirical equations presented defines variation of aerodynamic coefficients with yaw angle for sedan-bodies; these are derived from wind tunnel tests on 3/8 size model of 21 automobile body forms, of which 17 were production car specimens; results show that while body form and features exert decisive influence on numerical values of force and moment coefficients, their mode of variation with yaw angle is independent of body shape and size.
