Reference to Buchanan report on traffic in towns, published in London in 1963; traffic problems in Great Britain outlined; case histories of planning housing and traffic in Newbury, Leeds, Norwich and in one district of London; West German problems are discussed on basis of report of committee of experts on methods for improving traffic conditions in municipalities; five questions considered are easing of traffic by better city planning, coordination of individual and public means of transportation, alleviation of parking problems, organization of city traffic on several levels (motorized, pedestrian, public transport, etc) and cost factors.
