With aid of formulas derived, determination can be made sufficiently accurate for practical purposes in short time, only required data being geometric dimensions of outer wing (tapered part), position of its longerons, total weight of outer wing, and approximate weight of longerons. English translation of Report No. 452, of Central Aero-Hydrodynamical Inst, Moscow, 1939.
