Assisted take-off is military necessity for bombing aircraft which must lift tremendous loads; external launching methods, such as catapults, cable towing schemes, or Mayo composite aircraft, lack required ability to be used in large scale operations; any device or method for assisting take-off should be incorporated in aircraft itself; jet motors; powder rocket charges for use with present aircraft designs.
