Facilities and methods used for loading complete vehicles on board ship; vessels known as "Belships," built in Great Britain especially for locomotives and other heavy cargoes described; they are provided with derricks each of which is capable of lifting up to 125-140 tons, so that vehicles can be unloaded by ship at distant ports if no shore or floating crane is available.
