It is pointed out that aircraft are used under wide range of atmospheric pressures; pressure variations influence chiefly vapor locking tendencies of fuel system; solubility of air in hydraulic oil and in aircraft engine lubricating oil also introduces problems, under wide fluctuations of atmospheric pressure.
