Article shows that when ring pressure at ring gap is high, unfavorable condition of piston ring flutter and its undesirable effects can be moved outside range of actual engine operational speeds; equipment and methods used for pressure distribution measurements. From Automobiltechnische Zeit Feb 10 1942. (see also abstract in Engrs' Digest v 3 n 11 Nov 1942 p 381-6)
