Illinois Central has established school at Carbondale, Ill; school is designed to train young men to become trainmen, foremen or switchmen; course consists of 10-day period of oral and practical instruction, including class room work on rules of operation; following this, students are given road work on trial runs under experienced men and are then given final examinations.
