Westward classification yard built to supplement existing eastward yard consists of receiving yard of 11 tracks, westward hump leading to classification yard of 35 tracks, and westward departure yard of 12 tracks; car retarders, power switches, signals, telephone communication from conductor at hump to enginemen and other modern facilities increase efficiency of operations.
