Group of tugs, officially designated LT boats, are being built at Jakobson Shipyard, Oyster Bay, Long Island; No 1, Major Ethel A. Robbins, completed; length 113 ft; beam 25 ft; propelled by 4-cycle, 8-cyl, supercharged Enterprise Diesel engine, with 16-in. bore by 20 in. stroke, developing 1200 hp at 275 rpm; it is self contained unit, fitted with Elliot-Buchi exhaust turbine supercharger built on at after end.
