Effects of duct on both circulation and thrust increase are calculated for specific cases, showing that they become important for propellers operating in duct having diameter approaching propellers diameter; duct effect increases with decreasing number of blades and with pitch increase; percentage increase in thrust is additive to R.M.WOOD and R.G.HARRIS correction resulting from slipstream contraction; references to aircraft propeller data.
