Mild steel, cast iron, aluminum-brass, and Alacoil aluminum alloy pipes for tanker heating coils are compared for efficiency of heat transmission, self draining capacity, corrosion resistance, weight, ease of maintenance or modification, robustness and cost; notes on new concept which uses vertical spirals, and on complete portable aluminum unit which can be lifted in or out of tanker.
