Oil tanker Aluco, built by J.L.Thompson and Sons for Shell Tankers Ltd, is to be constructed with bridge and all accommodation aft; length oa 560 ft, breadth molded 71 ft 10 in., depth molded 39 ft 6 in., deadweight 19,340 tons; corrugated longitudinal and transverse bulkheads form 33 cargo oil tanks; propulsion is by Parsons 2-cyl 7500 shp ahead, 4000 shp astern steam turbine.
