Use of traffic monitor, consisting of radar sensing unit and electronic analysis equipment to record speed and volume, on New Jersey Turnpike at Milepost 97, in city of Linden; unit operates on Doppler principle, detecting passage of vehicle within lane and measuring speed of any vehicle within radio beam; description of equipment; monitor makes it possible to ascertain Turnpike capacity in terms of existing traffic flows and predict frequency of congestion occurring under existing roadway conditions.
