British Freightliner train concept is based on container as unit of load; customer is sold container load (in one of three sizes) and is free to fill it as required; container is taken to railhead by road vehicle, where it is transferred to rigid coupled flat cars by overhead crane; process is reversed upon arrival; photographs are included, and diagrams show loading method, car truck, etc.
