Cutters being manufactured at works of BSA Tools, Ltd, Birmingham, are cast to precision limits by process developed by firm; steels used are based on 1.3% carbon, 13% chromium alloy containing small amounts of tungsten and vanadium; there is consequent saving of alloying elements such as tungsten and molybdenum which are now in short supply.
