Cingalese Prince, first of two cargo motor ships designed for Prince Line's New York-Panama-Far East service, has been completed by Vickers-Armstrongs Ltd; length bp 440 ft; breadth molded 63 ft; depth molded 41 ft; deadweight capacity 10,500 tons; gross tonnage 8700 tons; powered by 6-cyl Vickers-Doxford opposed piston engine, developing 6800 bhp at 116 rpm; engine runs on boiler grades of fuel oil.
