Review of scope of full scale experiments carried out on former Clyde paddle steamer by British Shipbuilding Research Assn; direct measurement achieved with high degree of accuracy over speed range of 5 to 15 knots; trials show that propulsion by aircraft jet engines is eminently suitable, for reasons given.
