H.M.S. Breconshire, former Glen Line ship sunk off Malta in 1942, was raised by Boom Defence Dept, Admiralty; no lifting wires or pontoons were used, method employed being to render ship buoyant by blowing compressed air into her; bottom up and buoyant, vessel was towed from Malta to Italy where it is to be broken up; salvaging operations described and illustrated.
