Study of economic and military practicability of self propelled floating power houses to be constructed and held in reserve indicated that 30,000-kw power plant could be installed in Liberty ship hull, together with evaporators of 80,000 gal fresh water daily capacity, air compressors, and fuel for 3 mo; salient details, and basic reasoning, presented.
