Traffic authorities of City of New Haven, Conn, installed new type of pedestrian signal on some of busiest intersections of business district; signals are of neon tube type and arranged to provide special interval of time or phase for pedestrian crossings without interference with vehicles; problem mainly consisted in measuring performance of vehicles at those intersections; volume counts; summary of results.
