Performance of ramjet having detonation wave combustion process; flight speeds from Mach 2.5 to 10 are examined and thermodynamic property changes presented; engine cycle performance characteristics are computed including air specific impulse, specific fuel consumption and thermal efficiency; subsonic burning ramjet is shown to have superior performance compared to detonation wave engine; differences and some design features.
