91-ft, 215-ton, lightship "EXP-99" being built at Curtis Bay, Maryland; after 2-mo dock trial, lightship will be given further tests near Scotland Lightship; with aid of Westinghouse remote control system, single operator at Sandy Hook, NJ, Coast Guard Station will have complete control over lightship's signaling system; three Westinghouse generators will supply electricity for light, radio beacon, and fog signal; automatic controls start Buda Diesel engines that drive generators.
