One-shot, guided interceptor must be of simple design, reliable in performance and adapted for rapid production; some progress toward these ends made in rocket power plant development; possible further improvements in which rocket engine plays more important part discussed; one proposal is to eliminate high pressure gas storage tank and utilize, instead, energy from engine for pressurizing fuel feed.
