Arctic Patrol ship built by Davie Shipbldg and Repairing Co; length oa 294 ft 6 in.; breadth molded 50 ft; depth molded 26 ft; powered by twin Skinner unaflow, 2000-ihp engines; during off seasons, vessel will be engaged in maintenance of Department's aids to navigation on Atlantic seaboard; feature of vessel is helicopter for assisting in navigation through ice, transporting passengers and mail, and for survey work.
