Construction details of private toll road being built through Everglades and along shores of Lake Okeechobee to afford a cross-state connection for lower Florida; it is 51 miles long, and has been entirely financed and built by W. J. Conners, of Buffalo, N. Y., at a cost of nearly $2,000,000; marl fill on marsh soil surfaced with crushed stone and oiled.
