Maintenance Division of Air Service Command maintains system whereby unsatisfactory performance of any of elements of aircraft is reported by operating units back to technical commands, and these provide excellent case histories; these reports are carefully analyzed and those having to do with parts requiring technical development or fundamental engineering investigation are sent to Wright Field; results of study of 10,000 reports.
