Using typical fuselage fabricated from plastic plywood and veneer as example, author indicates general procedure followed in building wood aircraft; basic design problems were solved by extensive investigations and tests conducted by National Research Council; method is described for fabricating disposable fuel tanks for fighter planes from veneer and plywood.
