Design problems of motors for co-axial fans and their use for shipboard ventilation by Navy and Merchant Marine; shipboard ventilation for Navy has generally been powered by two speed a-c motors of 1200-1800 rpm; with adoption of co-axial fan with variable pitch propeller, however, single speed motor can be used to power these installations.
