From examination of available literature on air cooling of gasoline engines, attempt is made to correlate relevant information for use of motor cycle engine designers; general design and installation features affecting engine cooling briefly considered, and factors controlling fin design assessed from results of tests on uniformly heated dummy cylinders in wind tunnel.
