New Liberty ship converted to training ship at Baltimore Yard of Bethlehem Steel Co; principal structure changes and additions; length oa 441 ft 7 1/2 in.; breadth extreme 57 ft; draft loaded 27 ft 8 in.; propelled by 3-cyl, triple expansion engine, operating on 200 lb steam at 440 F and delivering 2500 ihp at 76 rpm; facilities are available for training 401 men; ship has large auditorium, large machine shop, carpenter shop and class room and all necessary equipment.
