To avoid difficulty experienced in passing under feeders, section insulators, and insulated crossings, where continuity of supply is broken and considerable arcing is liable to occur between overhead conductors and collector, arrangement described is suggested; no wiring or relays associated with overhead are necessary, line contact strips being connected direct to positive wire.
