Investigation is primarily con-cerned with performance of idealized centrifugally tuned pendulum at condition of maximum response of main system on which it operates; calculations are made which show effect of tuning, damping, and mass ratio upon absorber characteristics at peak frequency, providing rational basis for design and interpretation of test results.
