Majority and minority reports submitted by Committee on Taxation of Commercial Motor Vehicles of Tax Association are reviewed; majority report claimed that buses and trucks should be taxed 14 to 16 per cent of their gross revenue to equalize competition between them and railroads; minority report strongly opposed theory that it was function of government to equalize through taxation competition between like industries; method of taxing highway common-carriers equally with competitors.
