First of new series of tankers is Neftesyndicat S.S.S.R., length b.p. 455 ft. 6 in.; dead-weight capacity 11,600 tons; service speed 10 1/2 knots; total capacity 14,500 cu. m.; two Sulzer-type motors with cylinders 600-mm. bore with stroke of 1060 mm. are installed, each having four cylinders and developing 1400 b.hp. at 110 r.p.m.; exhaust-heat boilers and oil-engine-driven pumps.
