Work on 137 locomotives of Atlantic Coast Lines is divided between electrical and air brake departments; with single exception all equipments used are of General Railway Signal type; repair work centers at Rocky Mount, N. C.; carbon pile voltage regulators are being experimented with in place of ballast lamps that are regularly supplied; repair equipment and methods are described.
