As result of changes in terminal operation six yards entirely closed; operations confined to local industrial switching at dozen or more other yards that were formerly used extensively for through traffic; in 1928, 35 per cent more business was handled than in 1920 with 24 per cent fewer freight-yard engine hours; operating diagram of Cedar Hill and Hartford yards; single-unit operation.
