Marine department of Texas Co. realized necessity for compiling workable statistics which would be concise, yet readily show complete trend of accidents occurring on board its vessels; primary purpose in compilation of personnel accident statistics was to reveal conditions which might result in injury to crews, so that remedial measures could be applied; quarterly, or at least semiannually, statistics covering all accidents reported by vessels should be prepared. Paper read before Mar. Section, Eighteenth Annual Safety Congress. (See also Log vol. 14, no. 2, Nov. 1929 pp. 7-9, 36 and 40, 5 figs; Mar. News, vol. 16, no. 5, Oct. 1929, pp. 43-45, 10 figs.; Pac.
