Ultimate goals of NASA's space program comprise permanent manned space station, permanent lunar base, and manned landings on planets; program will require three generations of vehicles -- in late 1960s, "Apollo Extension Systems" (AES), in early 1970s, more advanced MORL-type orbital station, and from mid 1970s on, operational orbital laboratory, lunar ferries and manned planetary vehicles; five alternates for AES are discussed, time table of future manned space missions is presented and estimated future funding is shown graphically.
