Information about design study by British Aircraft Corp, jointly financed by government and corporation, is based on BAC statement giving extracts from Barnwell Memorial Lecture given by Caldecot and paper by T.W.Smith; under project name of Mustard (multi-unit space transport and recovery device), BAC proposed three-unit vehicle which would consist of two manned unit as actual spacecraft; units would be stacked vertically in parallel structure consisting of pressurized tanks connected by links to virtually separate skin; liquid oxygen/liquid hydrogen rocket engines would be used; diagrams.
