Paper deals with extension of optimal guidance methods of H.J. Kelley, and J.V.Breakwell to systems containing bang-bang control component; method consists of rescaling of time variable, which allows for small changes in switching times, to compensate for presence of initial errors and disturbing forces; two example problems are analyzed; it is shown that feedback mechanization is possible on time intervals that do not contain switches; in vicinity of switching time, control scheme using optimal guidance methods must operate on open-loop basis.
