SIXPAC concept consists of three double-gimbaled control moment gyros aligned with axes of spacecraft, and derives its control torques from precession of gyro wheels; system provides large range of control torques and fine attitude holds associated with spacecraft experiments such as earth-surface tracking and mapping, photographic missions, and astronomical observations; complete equations of motion for spacecraft with SIXPAC were developed and integrated numerically on computer for example mission with possible Apollo applications concept; characteristic time histories of attitude and angular rates of spacecraft are presented for number of experiments.
