Design concepts cover four generations of spacecraft and include fly-by and orbiter missions; discussion of scientific features of Jupiter related to instrumentation and spacecraft discipline interface requirements; trajectory analysis is included for 1969 to 1970, 1971, 1976 opportunities; example missions are based on Atlas/Centaur/Kick Stage, Saturn-IB/Centaur and Saturn-V launch vehicles; maneuvers subsequent to earth orbit departure utilize state-of-art chemical propulsion systems.
